This ‘Baby Mama Dance’ has taken really kicked up a storm, celebs too showing off their mommy bumps and moves, proud mom’s enjoying the music and rhythm!
This dance seems to be one of the latest crazes in social media, where moms who are pregnant are dancing their way to labor!
Well, it’s catchy cute and who can’t say that it’s fun and playful? Right?
Celebrities such as Pretty Little Liars actress, Shay Mitchell, as well as social media influencers are all getting in on it and shaking their bumps…
So where exactly did the twerking sort of dance come from, well we are going to let you in on the secret…
It started, simply, with a song called ‘Baby Momma’ by Starrkeisha, where the lyrics encourage expecting mothers to:
“…drop it down low”
The lyrics go like this:
“When the song come on let me see ya get gone (get gone)/ baby mama’s this yo song/ been pregnant for way too long (too long)/ now tell the DJ turn it on.”
It’s not fully clear who started it, dancing while super heavy pregnant, but social media is now birthing more and more of these videos…
Many, many women have participated, however, it’s not enough when you get lost watching hours’ worth of the trend, some would say!
The celebs that have got involved are Shay Mitchell, who recently gave birth, and topped the list after the ‘You’ star put non-pregnant women to shame when her awesome moves won through, even nine months pregnant.
The YouTuber, Nash Grier, a friend of Shawn Mendes, got engaged earlier this year, she wasted no time getting involved in the latest trend at all.
Having given birth to their beautiful son, Malakai Giavasis-Grier, Taylor’s productive involvement in the challenge has seriously paid off.
Emilee Hembrow, an Instagram model, had a go at dancing while a full 39 weeks pregnant.
Kehlani was one of the dancing baby mamas, she captioned her now-deleted video, ‘Eviction notice!’ in a super fun photo of the singer giving it her all to induce her labor.
One person said:
“This is so cute.”
“Baby bout to come out lit as hell”
